Xallakanm Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Xallakanm (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”),
developed by Hamagardy, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our
mobile application on iOS and Android.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- Most game data (scores you enter during play) stays on your device unless you choose to save it locally.
- Global leaderboard participation is optional. We ask for your explicit consent before uploading your username or game activity to our servers for public leaderboards.
- Sign-in (Google or Apple) is optional. You can use core scoring features without an account.
- You can opt out of leaderboard participation at any time in App Settings, and you can delete your account from within the App.
- We use third-party services for sign-in, cloud storage, analytics, notifications, and advertising. Those providers may process data under their own policies.
Global leaderboard consent (Apple Guideline 5.1.2):
Before your username, streak, or game-activity statistics are uploaded to our server and shown on a
global leaderboard visible to other users, the App shows a clear consent dialog. Nothing is uploaded
for leaderboard purposes unless you tap “I agree — participate”. You can decline or turn
this off later in Settings → Global leaderboard.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account information (optional): If you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and, where provided by the provider, your email address. We use this to link your account and optional username across devices.
- Username (optional): A public display name you choose (3–20 characters). If you consent to leaderboard participation, your username may appear on public leaderboards.
- Suggestions / feedback (optional): Text you submit through the in-app suggestion form.
- Saved games (optional): Game names, team names, scores, and notes you choose to save. These are stored primarily on your device.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers: An app-generated device code and device ID used to recognize your installation, restore settings, and associate optional account data.
- Device information: Platform (iOS/Android), device model, operating system version, app version, and general device metadata.
- Usage and activity data: Which features you use, banner interactions, app opens, and similar analytics events.
- Game activity statistics (leaderboard-related): Counts of games played by type (for example Okey, Domino), calculator usage, daily login streak, and last activity timestamps. This is uploaded to our server only if you consent to global leaderboard participation.
- Push notification token (optional): If you enable notifications, a device token is stored so we can send reminders and updates.
- Advertising data: Our ad partner (Google AdMob) may collect or receive device advertising identifiers and usage data to show ads and measure ad performance, subject to your device settings and applicable consent flows.
2.3 Information from your device (with permission)
- Camera and photo library: Only if you use features that scan or import Okey tile images. Images are used for that feature; we do not use them for leaderboard or advertising unless you explicitly choose to share them elsewhere.
2.4 What we do not collect
- We do not require your real name, phone number, or home address to use the App.
- We do not upload your in-game score entries to leaderboards unless you have consented and the data is aggregated as activity statistics (for example, number of games played), not individual round scores.
- We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide core App functionality (scoring, timers, dice, saved games, themes, and related features).
- Operate optional sign-in and account linking (Google, Apple).
- Display and rank users on global leaderboards (streak and most-active players) — only with your consent.
- Maintain daily streaks and sync them across devices when you are signed in and have consented.
- Send optional push notifications you enable.
- Show ads and offer optional premium features supported by ads.
- Improve the App, fix bugs, monitor performance, and understand feature usage.
- Respond to support requests and review suggestions.
- Protect the App against abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
4. Global Leaderboards and Your Choices
If you choose to participate in global leaderboards:
- We upload your username, daily streak, and game activity counts to our secure cloud database (Supabase).
- This information may be visible to other App users in public leaderboard screens inside the App.
- You will be asked to consent before any such upload occurs (for example, when saving a username or enabling participation in Settings).
How to opt out: Open Settings → Global leaderboard and turn off “Participate in global leaderboard”. After you opt out, we stop uploading new leaderboard-related data. Previously published leaderboard entries may remain visible until removed during routine data updates or upon request.
How to delete your account: If you are signed in, use Delete account in the account section of Settings. This removes your account and associated server-side profile data we control, including username and linked streak/statistics tied to your account.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information in these situations:
- Service providers who help us run the App (see Section 6).
- Other users, when you consent to leaderboard participation — your username and ranking-related statistics may be shown publicly inside the App.
- Legal requirements, if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger or acquisition (you will be notified where required).
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Account and leaderboard data: Until you delete your account, opt out (for new uploads), or request deletion.
- Local saved games: Until you delete them on your device or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and logs: For a limited period needed for troubleshooting and improvement, then aggregated or deleted.
- Legal obligations: Longer retention only where required by law.
8. Data Storage and International Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country, including cloud
infrastructure used by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect data transferred
internationally and require service providers to apply appropriate safeguards.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and
we will take steps to delete it.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Withdraw consent for leaderboard participation at any time in Settings.
- Delete your account from within the App.
- Disable notifications in App or device settings.
- Limit ad tracking via your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Ads settings).
- Contact us to request information about data we store about you.
12. App Store Privacy Labels (Summary)
This summary aligns with our Apple App Privacy disclosures:
- Data linked to you (with consent / optional account): Username, email (if provided via sign-in), game activity statistics for leaderboards, streak data.
- Data not linked to identity: Aggregated analytics, diagnostic data, advertising identifiers processed by ad partners.
- Tracking: AdMob may use data for advertising purposes subject to platform consent requirements. We do not use leaderboard data for cross-app tracking.
- Leaderboard uploads: Require explicit in-app consent before data is sent to our server.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page
and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App where appropriate.
Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
